Membership Information Page
The Talk IT Up! club meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at HQ and DCTC, respectively.  Our club mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.  Club officers and their responsibilities are:

Operate the club.

Promote the development and training of club members.
VP Public Relations Lance Williams
Promote awareness of Toastmasters and club activities through advertisements, press releases, letters and announcements.
VP Membership Mara Cummings
Recruit new Toastmaster members.
Secretary Brenda Walker Maintain records of operations and handle correspondence for the club.
Treasurer Desta Wright Maintain records of funds collected and expended by the club.
Sergeant At Arms
Marge Britt
Arrange the facility for meetings and maintain club property.

  1. Call meeting to order  [TMOD]
    • Ask all attendees to “Please mute or turn off cell phones and other disruptive electronic devices”
    • Circulate roster
    • Recognize guests
    • Note any special significance of the meeting
    • Introduce Grammarian and ask her/him to:
      • Explain duties
      • Provide Word of the Day
    • Introduce Timer and ask him/her to:
      • Explain duties
  2. Review agenda briefly  [TMOD]
  3. Commence prepared speeches (the following is done for each speaker)  
    • Introduce speaker and speech title, welcome speaker to podium with handshake and hand off podium to speaker  [TMOD]
    • Present speech and turn podium back over to TMOD with a handshake  [SPEAKER]
  4. Introduce Table Topics Master (TTM), welcome TTM to podium with handshake and hand off podium to TTM  [TMOD]
    • Select table topics speakers and do the following for each one  [TTM]
      • Welcome speaker(s) to podium with handshake  [TTM]
      • Explain table topic scenario and hand off podium to speaker [TTM]
      • Present table topic and when complete, turn podium back over to TTM with handshake  [TABLE TOPICS SPEAKER]
    • Turn podium back over to TMOD  [TTM]
  5. Introduce Master Evaluator (ME)  [TMOD]
    • Explain ME and speech evaluator duties  [ME]
    • For each evaluator:
      • Introduce the evaluator, welcome evaluator to podium with handshake and hand off podium to evaluator  [ME]
      • Present evaluation and when complete, turn podium back over to the ME with handshake  [EVALUATOR]
    • Request timer report  [ME]
      • Present timer report  [TIMER]
    • Request grammarian report  [ME]
      • Present grammarian report  [GRAMMARIAN]
    • Evaluate the meeting as a whole and speech evaluations as necessary  [ME]
    • Turn podium back over to the TMOD  [ME]
  6. Conclude meeting  [TMOD]
    • Open floor for comments 
    • Adjourn meeting
